IT'S A GIRL!
We had a gender reveal party for our parents and revealed that we are expecting a little girl! Our ultrasound was April 25 at 7:30am (I asked for the earliest they had that week... and we got it!). When the ultrasound technician started the ultrasound, the tears started. I was overcome with emotion just seeing our baby after not seeing her since she was 7 weeks! She was so amazing... seeing her little hands and feet. Her little heart pumping, and her constant movement and pushing against the ultrasound machine... it was just too much! I had to control myself because my body was moving as I was crying! I know I probably made it difficult for the technician to get good images at first. She began going through all of the things she was taking pictures of.
There are the kidneys, and the bladder.... and here is the spine and the line that separates the left brain from the right brain. Here are the two legs, and those three lines right there show that it's a GIRL!
At this point I started crying again! And I asked her how sure she was... she said very, and I cried some more. We have a little girl in there! It was so hard to believe, but I immediately started calling it a "her".
When I was about 10 weeks pregnant, I told Josh that I had an idea of what it was, but I didn't want to tell anyone. He said I could at least tell him, so I confessed that I thought it was a girl. Josh really didn't have any idea what the gender was... but at about 18 weeks, he told me he had this feeling that he knew the gender. I told him he had to tell me since I told him! And he also thought it was a girl! We were right! Here are some pictures from out gender revealing party that we had for our families!
Baby name suggestions from our family!
Mommy-to-be at 20 weeks + 5 days!
Mommy-to-be and Daddy-to-be! We wore white to be neutral!
Drinks and snacks were all "Brittany's Cravings", so naturally rootbeer was available. I am loving rootbeer right now... which is weird because I never liked it before!
The cupcakes.... will it have a pink filling or blue?
Team pink!
Team Blue!
1...2...3.... BITE!
IT'S A GIRL!!
Addison was hoping for a girl cousin, so she was happy :)
I used strawberry cake (cooked in a mini muffin pan), then put that inside a white cupcake! It worked perfectly!
It was a wonderful day! Now we can call our little sweet pea a girl... and as of now we are calling her "Blakely" :) We think that will be her name.
Blakely Rose
Her head is on the right :) There's our baby girl :)
