Beautiful Blakely!

So on Saturday we went for our 3D ultrasound, so excited to actually see what our baby might look like! We were sorely disappointed when not only was our sweet Blakely covering her face with her hands, but also with her feet! She was folded in half, sleeping very soundly with her feet and hands over her little face. Every ultrasound shot was blocked by her little fingers and toes. After about 15 minutes of trying to get her to move, we took a little break. I laid on my side, then the other side, then bent over the bed.... anything to get her to flip over or at least move some of her limbs. The first try was unsuccessful, so we took another little break. This time I just sat still. Usually when I am sitting still in a chair she will move around a little. On the third try to see her little face, she had actually flipped and put her feet down! Yay! Unfortunately, her little arm was still over her face, but we were able to get ONE picture of her face! Here is our little Blakely :)
We found if you look at a smaller size of the picture, or at least look from further away you can see her more clearly. As quickly as she moved her arm away from her face, she put it right back. We are going back this Saturday in hopes that she cooperates this time. I thought she was just being stubborn and didn't want her picture taken, but it's also been speculated that she is shy... I'm hoping for the shy over the stubborn :) Also this week we had an ultrasound with our doctor, and Friday a doctors visit. The ultrasound was to make sure her ventricles had developed properly in her heart. Of course the ultrasound technician can't tell us, but we saw both ventricles, and the radiologist seemed to get everything he needed! Baby is all in tact! And also... we got to see her AGAIN! Here is an updated profile picture:
Here is her little face looking at you!
And on this picture, you're looking at the top of her head, and those little fuzzies around the edge are hair!!
Can't believe our little baby is so developed that she now has some hair! Josh has a hunch that the hair is going to be dark. He just might be right! We have a check up this Friday, and then our rescheduled 3D ultrasound on Saturday, so I will be updating soon.... hopefully with lots of 3D pictures of our sweet baby! Also, I have video of the ultrasound that will be posted soon! Stay tuned!!
